Night markets, grain, and letting go of sharpness

I’ve been shooting the night markets near Jalan Alor at ISO 6400 and not caring about noise. The grain feels right. It matches the steam, the fluorescent spill, the chaos.

Sharpness is overrated. A technically perfect photo of a boring moment is still a boring photo. A grainy, slightly motion-blurred frame that captures the feeling of standing in a crowd at 11pm with smoke in your eyes — that’s the one you’ll remember.

Stop pixel-peeping. Start feeling.
